Kid Scoop News ND has been serving North Dakota students since the Fall of 2022. Over the past four years, we’ve expanded from 12,000 students in NW North Dakota, to more than 43,000 in 260 school buildings in almost every county in North Dakota. In 2026 we will surpass the 1 millionth issue delivered in our state!
We are on a mission to get North Dakota students reading more and better! Students who enjoy reading are better lifelong learners and are more likely to succeed -- becoming engaged citizens and employees. [nest attached graphic (digital ad) and link to Case for Kid Scoop News also attached]
Kid Scoop News ND comes on newsprint and is delivered through a network of newspapers and hired carriers. It is printed in North Dakota for North Dakota students. Each year, K-6 students served by the program receive 9 issues of this 24-page newspaper, packed with stories, games and activities addressing general learning topics. Regular features include Money Matters, Health, Environment, Media Literacy, Animals, and more. Some teachers incorporate the material into their own lesson plans, while others use it as a free time activity and to take home to share with their family.
Kid Scoop News ND is 100 percent donor funded, with caring individuals, organizations and community foundations giving the money necessary to provide this material free to schools. Please consider a gift today!
